2015 was a record year for FDI with the IDA winning 213 new investments many of them in the manufacturing and services sectors. Ireland has demonstrated extraordinary resilience since 2013 despite the inevitable consequences of the patent cliff. While exports fell dramatically at that time, IDA have delivered a constant stream of high value new investments over the past number of years which has facilitated further growth in the complexity and diversity of the sector. Many of these investments have been in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, high end chemical synthesis or product and process development.

Fastnet Recruitment & Search is a market leader in providing high-end Talent Solutions to the Life Sciences sector and there is no doubt that we have benefited from this rising tide. Start-ups have created opportunities for senior leadership roles and hence significant movement in the industry overall. We experienced a 68% increase in turnover between 2014 and 2015. This included a 33% increase in revenues for Executive Search and an 87% increase in revenues for our Outsourced Contract and Managed Services. We are delighted to be investing in infrastructure and resources to ensure we continue to better serve our clients and candidates.
