Fastnet Recruitment is delighted to announce the appointment of four new members to the growing team based at Eastgate Village, Little Island.

Ruth will focus on the recruitment of Engineering candidates for clients in the Pharmaceutical, Biopharma, Medical Device and Food industries, strengthening Fastnet’s proven capability to deliver high quality, technical personnel and supporting continued growth in 2014.

What is your role at Fastnet Recruitment?

I will be recruiting Engineers for Pharmaceutical, Biopharmaceutical and Medical Devices companies nationwide. The roles will be permanent and contract. I will also be responsible for Business development activities, developing new and existing clients.

What aspect of your role do you look forward to the most? 
I am looking forward to growing the Engineering group and servicing the clients in this sector. Fastnet have a great reputation in the marketplace. I will enjoy working with an enthusiastic team of recruitment professionals.

How do you see the market for Engineers currently?
The Engineering sector is very busy this year, there has been an upturn from the Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical companies in particular with start ups and capital investment for new projects. The Medical Devices sector continues to grow in R&D and manufacturing. There is great opportunities for experienced Engineers wanting to progress their careers or secure their next contract.

What’s the best advice you can give to candidates?
Always be honest!

What keeps you busy outside of work? 
My family mostly. But I enjoy walking my dog in the evenings and keep fit classes.

What keeps you awake at night?
Mostly my children…

With the summer fast approaching, do you have any holidays planned and what’s your favourite holiday memory? 
Yes I am going to France with my husband and two children for the first time this summer.

My favourite holiday memory is my first holiday with my now husband, where we spent 1 week in Italy, in Rome, Naples and Pompeii.
