FASTNET – THE TALENT GROUP PARTNERS WITH LIFE SCIENCES COMPANIES FOR TALENT SUCCESS AND RETENTION

The war for talent is ever competitive, particularly in Munster where we have a high number of pharma, biotech and medical devices companies, all with requirements for qualified and experienced people. Since 1999, Fastnet – The Talent Group has worked closely with the life sciences sector, and based on our firsthand experiences with multinationals and indigenous companies, we recently announced a Talent & Transformation division to specifically meet the needs of the sector.

Talent & Transformation is a relatively new concept in Ireland, but is already having significant impact in the UK and USA. According to McKinsey and CIPD 2016, a one-point shift in the quality of management practices had the same impact on productivity as a 25% increase in labour employed and a 65% increase in capital investment.

Led by Dave Barry, newly appointed Director of Talent & Transformation at Fastnet – The Talent Group, the new division is already working with HR teams in life sciences companies to exclusively service the critical role of talent management in the sector.

“Much experience and research has proven that companies who approach talent management in a strategic ‘end-to-end’ way are the most successful ones. Ensuring that employees are hired, managed, developed, engaged and retained in the best possible ways will have positive knock-on impacts for each of these pieces, and build up to similar overall benefit for the organisation. We are partnering with clients to support this strategic focus,” said Dave Barry.

“With offices in Dublin and Cork, Fastnet – The Talent Group is already a leading provider of services to clients and candidates in the life sciences, agri-food and associated business services sectors. As partners, not placers, we now offer total talent solutions,” said Niamh O’Driscoll, Managing Director.
