Our client is a leading biopharmaceutical company dedicated to improving the lives of patients through innovative and life-saving therapies. Their Cork facility plays a crucial role in manufacturing and distributing these life-saving products to patients worldwide. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Manager to join our team and help us continue our mission of delivering high-quality biopharmaceutical products. As a Warehouse Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of our warehouse facilities in Cork. You will play a key role in managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of pharmaceutical products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations:

  • Manage all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping pharmaceutical products.
  • Implement and maintain efficient inventory management systems to optimize space utilization and minimize errors.

Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and safety.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to team members.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure strict adherence to cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and other regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain high-quality standards and compliance.

Safety and Security:

  • Develop and enforce safety protocols to protect employees and products.
  • Implement security measures to prevent theft, damage, or contamination of pharmaceutical products.

Logistics and Transportation:

  • Coordinate with logistics and transportation partners to ensure timely delivery and distribution of products.
  • Monitor transportation costs and optimize routes to reduce expenses.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management software and inventory control systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
