Summary:

Senior Upstream Bioprocess Scientist

As a senior upstream bioprocess scientist, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the design, execution and analysis of complex and challenging experiments. You will also have extensive experience with fermenters and bioreactors, as well as upstream processing and analytical techniques. You will work closely with other senior scientists, engineers and project managers to deliver high-quality results and solutions for our clients.

As a technical lead, you will also be expected to mentor and supervise junior and mid-level staff, provide technical leadership and direction, communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to the strategic vision and innovation of our processes and technologies.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• Relevant industry experience in upstream process development
• Expertise in fermentation or bioreactor operation, optimization and scale-up
• Proficiency in upstream processing and analytical methods for protein characterization
• Experience in leading projects and teams, managing timelines and budgets, and delivering high-quality reports and presentations.
• A proven track record of innovation, collaboration and problem-solving
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

Qualifications

· Minimum of 5+ years' industry experience in process development (if PhD qualified)

· Minimum of 7+ years' industry experience in process development (if MSc qualified).

· Minimum of 10+ years' industry experience (if bachelor's qualified)
