Welcome to our first issue of Fastnet Focus 2021:
 
This is a look back at some of our highlights from Quarter 1 which we are delighted to share with you. It is an exciting and rewarding time to be partnering with many life sciences clients who have played a pivotal role in the response to Covid-19 and continue to demonstrate remarkable resilience and growth.
 
Although we are living through exceptional times, the arrival of Spring and the vaccine roll-out programme gives us renewed hope for brighter days ahead. It’s easy to understand why Seamus Heaney’s consoling words have appeared in many a narrative during this pandemic:
 
“So long for air to brighten,
Time to be dazzled and the heart to lighten”

1. Meet the Team
Deirdre Cullinan joined Fastnet in November 2020 as Finance Lead. Deirdre is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants with more than 25 years of experience. Deirdre will lead the Finance function at Fastnet with a continuous focus on improving and optimising processes to enhance the customer experience. Read more

As part of our Engineers Week 2021 celebrations, we caught up with Robert O Meara, Graduate Project Engineer. Last year, Fastnet assisted Robert with his career search and were delighted to secure him a position with our client, Alcon, the global leader in eyecare, based in Cork. 3. International Women's Day
